holding, Industrial drum and disc braking, stopping

MAGQUIP, through its strategic partnership with ANTEC of Spain, is proudly and exclusively able to sell their range of TURBEL Thrustors and Industrial braking systems. These industrial brake systems include:

ANTEDC Electrohydraulic drum brakes are friction brakes that are mechanically activated by a spring and released by an electro-hydraulic actuator called a thrustor.  This thrustor is a low-pressure centrifugal pump driven by a three-phase motor.

ANTEC Electrohydraulic disc brakes are friction brakes that are mechanically activated by a spring and released by an electro-hydraulic actuator called a thrustor.  This thrustor is a low-pressure centrifugal pump driven by a three-phase motor.

ANTEC Electromagnetic disc brakes or DC brakes are friction brakes, which in the absence of power, are mechanically activated by the action of a spring. They use a direct current electromagnet as a control element.

ANTEC Electromagnetic drum brakes or DC brakes are friction brakes, which in the absence of power are mechanically activated by the action of a spring.  It uses a direct current electromagnet as a control element.

ANTEC Floating hydraulic brakes are friction brakes that, in the absence of power, are mechanically activated by the action of a spring.  As a control element, it uses a piston hydraulically activated to release the brake. They are floating mono spring brakes, which do not transmit any axial force, protecting the system from damages when braking, even if there is an incorrect adjustment or an error in the installation.

ANTEC Dual spring hydraulic brakes are friction brakes which are composed of two symmetrical semi calipers. They are mechanically activated by the action of a spring. As a control element, a piston is activated hydraulically to release the brake. The brake opening force depends directly on the hydraulic pressure.

ANTEC TURBEL Thrustors are an electro-hydraulic operating device, built to generate a linear thrust along a stroke.

All the thrustors of the TURBEL range are designed according to the DIN 15.430 standard in terms of force, stroke, fastenings, and general dimensions.

They have the following features:

  • Long service life with minimum maintenance due to low wear operation under continuous self-lubrication with high reliability
  • Soft and smooth operation due to the hydraulic principle
  • Fast response/short regulating times
  • High switching frequency of up to 2000 cycles per hour
  • Reversing operation
  • Simple installation, dismantling and maintenance
  • No reversing contactors required as the motor may rotate in either direction
  • Overloading during operation not possible
  • Versatile – suitable for adjusting length of stroke from outside as required
  • Universal applications also in ATEX hazardous areas (flameproof/explosion proof)
